Summering

Summering…Spending time in nature, breathing in the mountain’s beauty that feels like the cleanest gulp of oxygen.

Sometimes, there will be times in our seasons of lives when the deepest anxiety, fear, or uncertainty can only be accessed at the moment. We’re carrying those around, we’re burying those deep inside our bodies, our wandering souls, our identities. We’re refusing to welcome in the joy. We’re closing our eyes…and we’re closing ourselves.

Nature can heal you up, and can numb your pain. It’s in these moments where I surrender to the magnificent power of mountains where I permit myself to feel, to embrace all the saddest feelings and accept those to become a part of me, not rejecting those. Because our truest answers are nowhere else, but inside our inner selves.

As Jenna Kutcher says:

Constantly covering up who we are just means we inevitably get buried.

Nature heals us in the way that its genuine presence, its authenticity, the colors, and the perfect symphony of sounds teach us what is truly important and is out there just the way it really is.

Seasons of life are to be lived through, and though summering means enjoying the crispy freshness, there might be wintering moments — we have to accept those and welcome them into our lives. Take notice of the world, breathe in fully, exhale slowly, and surrender.

Become the gatekeeper to your life, but never suppress what’s inside you. It’s so permissible and vital to silence all the chaotic quarrels of thoughts in your head while practicing forest, mountain bathing mindfulness, and exploring who we really are, right now, in this particular moment.

Summering…The palette of colors and sounds keeps us away from burning out to relive the reverberations of what life has to offer us.

Surrender to summering. There’s no much time left this summer.
